  Jan and Susanne

Jan and Susanne are passionate explorers, educators, artists, and leaders. They partner with individual clients around the country from all walks of life who crave balance in their lives and want to achieve their most deeply desired dreams and goals. They believe that claiming this personal fulfillment is a radical act.

Equally, they partner with organizations to determine and articulate core values, mission, vision, goals and objectives. They focus on clarifying roles and responsibilities, developing effective communication practices and effectively leveraging resources, resulting in proactive organizations and individuals who make meaningful contributions that motivate and sustain them.

Jan and Susanne bring to each client relationship their depth of personal and professional experience, their connection with the natural world, and their commitment to partnership, passion, exploration and fun!

They acheived their Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) accreditation through The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), graduated from CTI's Co-Active Leadership Program, and are members of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

In addition to Coaching, Jan and Susanne are environmental educators. Their work includes partnering with the Palo Alto Regional Water Quality Control Plant to create programming and deliver water pollution prevention education to K-8 classrooms in six cities; each year they teach more than 2500 students.

In keeping with their passion for working with children to positively impact the future health of the planet, both volunteer with Environmental Volunteers, an environmental education organization teaching kids to love nature and learning in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jan and Susanne have more than 17 years' combined experience as InterPlay® practitioners and leaders. In 2001 they were selected to present "Claim Your BodyWisdom: Coaches at Play!" a workshop combining the power of Co-Active Coaching and InterPlay®, for both the 2001 Bay Area ICF Conference in San Francisco, and the International ICF Conference in Chicago.

Susanne Mulcahy

Susanne believes that each of us must speak our truth and feel heard, live our passions, and claim what we know in our bones to be true for each of us. She is deeply passionate about the power of telling the stories of our daily lives in community and is honored to bear witness to these stories. She is committed to creating a safe space where all this can unfold.

Susanne has been building teams and leading organizations for 20 years. In 2001 she joined Right Management Consultants, the world's leading career transition and organizational consulting firm, as an adjunct Senior Consultant, providing coaching and consulting for corporate clients and their employees in Silicon Valley.

To date, she has managed four Career Resource Centers for more than 1600 clients from Fortune 500 companies who were in transition due to down-sizing, and coached scores of clients to successfully land new positions.

Susanne spent the previous 13 years in nonprofit management, most recently as Executive Director of Environmental Volunteers (EV). Under her leadership the EV tripled its size and scope, and was recognized with numerous awards.

Prior to that, she spent seven years at the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce, ultimately as Assistant Executive Director; among her varied responsibilities, she greatly enjoyed producing the annual Sunnyvale Art and Wine Festival. Before that she held several positions in the banking industry, including Business Banking Officer with Wells Fargo Bank.

Susanne's leadership and success in non-profit management have given her a depth and breadth of experience in organizational governance, board, staff and volunteer development and management, financial systems, budgeting and fundraising, marketing, community relations, and special events management.

Her creative projects while at the EV included co-producing and co-writing a nationally distributed educational CD-ROM and video, for which she also composed an award-winning score.

Susanne is currently Board President of BodyWisdom, Inc., the Oakland-based international non-profit that founded InterPlay®. A graduate of Leadership Sunnyvale, she was a trainer with their community Leadership Training Program for seven years. She has served on numerous boards and committees.

Susanne earned a BA in Religious Studies and a BS in Finance from Santa Clara University, graduating with honors as a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institutes for Organization Management at Stanford University.

Whether in conversation, on a hike, between the notes of a song as a performing singer-songwriter, or through the lens of a camera as an accomplished photographer, Susanne finds inspiration and revels in the speaking of truth and the process of discovery.

Jan Raissle

Jan is a passionate educator who cares deeply about people taking care of their body, mind, heart and spirit. She fiercely steps forward beyond her comfort zone to claim fullness in life, and calls others forth to do the same. She is committed to creating a safe space for truth to come forward, compassionately asks the hard questions that awaken and challenge us, and welcomes the emotions that come from deep living.

Jan has 25+ years' experience in health education and nursing. Currently, she is a Health Educator with the UCSF Center for Aids Prevention Studies (CAPS), whose team is conducting an innovative women's health study.

Before moving to California in 1999, she served the State of Wyoming for eight years as an Infectious Disease Investigation Specialist, where she supported the State Health Officer and State Epidemiologist and successfully administered and implemented programs in HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and TB and Immunization.

Responsible for 1/5 of the State, Jan traveled extensively, working to meet the needs of a varied constituency while carrying out state-mandated programs. She has extensive experience and skill in working one-on one with clients on sensitive subjects, providing education and counseling.

She delivered hundreds of successful training programs and presentations for audiences from 3 to 300, working with health care providers, law enforcement, school administrators, and correctional facility and substance abuse treatment staff.

The 10 years prior to that Jan worked in woman's health care/OB/GYN in both hospital and office settings, and was an adjunct instructor with Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs. Jan holds an MA in Health Education from the University Northern Colorado, a BS in Food Science and Nutrition from Colorado State University, and is a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Jan has served as a trainer for HIV counseling and testing, and has co-chaired and been a member of numerous community groups dealing with public health issues and HIV/AIDS.

Jan is passionate about her connection with our four-legged, winged, crawly and finned teachers. Her dog and cat family reminds her about grace, ease, truth, trust and unconditional love. She gratefully learns from their willingness to express what they feel in the moment, and their knowing that the cookie jar is always full.
